Dethloff & Associates is an independent insurance agency providing property & casualty insurance, bonds, and risk management services to both commercial and personal lines clients.  Through a risk management assessment, we work in concert with our clients and their teams to customize an insurance program to meet their needs and budget.

MEET OUR TEAM

David R. Dethloff, CIC

David is the president of Dethloff & Associates, Inc., an Independent Insurance Agency providing Property and Casualty insurance and risk management services to both Personal and Commercial clients. After graduating from LSU with his B.S. in Business Administration, David began his insurance career with Commercial Union Insurance Companies, then joined Dethloff, Jordan & McClure, Inc. as a producer in 1986. David has served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of LA, President of the Shreveport Bossier Military Affairs Council as well as on the boards of the Independence Bowl, Northwest Louisiana Goodwill, Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club, Shreveport Little League, Feist-Weiller Community Advisors, Petroleum Club and as an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport. When he’s not busy taking care of his clients, David enjoys spending time with his wife Pam and son Drew, playing tennis, hunting, and serving on the Board of the Committee of the 100.

Seth Ostendorff, CIC

A Shreveport native, Seth graduated from Texas Christian University in 1999 with a BBA.  Seth obtained his property and casualty insurance license in 2006 and after working for another independent agency and establishing his business, he joined Dethloff & Associates in 2020.  Seth earned the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2009.  He and his family are active members at First Baptist Church of Shreveport and involved in various local civic organizations.  Seth enjoys the outdoors and traveling with his family.

CP Herrington Jr.

A Louisiana native and a graduate of LSU with a degree in Business Administration. With over 59 years in the insurance industry serving as both an underwriter and producer, CP provides a wealth of industry knowledge to his clients. CP has been with Dethloff & Associates since 2020.  In his spare time CP enjoys the outdoors.
